Gina and Michael booked their Mad Dash wedding in June 2019. They were looking forward to a Spring 2020 wedding and celebrating with their friends and family from near and far. Enter Covid-19. Restrictions, limitations and fears now threatened their plans for a Saturday afternoon wedding in May.
After much discussion, the couple devised a new plan. This one Covid-19 couldn’t manipulate. Gina and Michael decided they would hold a small and intimate ceremony on their original wedding date and host a larger reception in the Fall for their friends and family. Accompanied only by their parents and abiding by the State enforced guidelines, the couple held a heartfelt ceremony officiated by Perry Hardison. Live View Studios captured every moment from the teary first look between the bride and her dad as well as the humorous mask-wearing shots. Flowers on Broad Street provided a delicate, lavender accented bridal bouquet and arrangements for the ceremony.
Mad Dash Weddings was more than happy to work with the couple to adjust their original package and divide the inclusions between a Spring ceremony and a Fall reception. If you have your heart set on a particular or meaningful wedding date, perhaps consider following their lead and hosting your ceremony and reception separately. An added bonus? We have videographers available to film your wedding ceremony to share with those who weren’t there in person. For more pictures from this intimate Raleigh wedding during Covid-19, scroll below!
